these may be pretty (and really, they are!!) but they’re NOT healthy for the fish! fish need more room than those tanks will afford – one goldfish, for example, needs at minimum a 10 gallon tank…and don’t even THINK about doing a saltwater setup in a tank like that.

Just wanted to say, I bought one of these aquariums from Mikaza Home. I am really happy with it. It holds 17 gallons so enough space for small cichlids, live bearers etc. I wouldn’t do salt water set up in these however. Also, it was easy to set up and has been running great for about 2 weeks now! The owners of Mikaza have been aquarists for 20 years and seemed knowlegable and were very honest and polite!

if i had a whole cleaning crew then it would be awesome i would put aquariums everywhere and have lots of COWFISH

The business I own have been making these since 2001 – A lot longer
than this one out of Ottawa I guess. Anyway, I have one setup at home
and my fish constantly breed – Growth isn’t stunted, no side affects.
And it’s been up for years. Most fish books will tell you fish need
that typical ’10 gallons per fish’ – But it’s just a guideline and
really shouldn’t be taken seriously. Of course, we do recommend sticking
to tropical fish that are a tad smaller – You clearly wouldn’t be something
huge in these things.
aquariums are bad enough. now wall mounted fish tanks? is your life any better with a fish on your wall? the fish’s life would be much better if he were in his natural habitat.
Yes lea, I’m sure my bettas would be much happier in the wild where they’re likely to be killed by another passing fish, just like a lot of fish are. I’m definitely sure that it also has the mental capacity to have this thought about how much better its life would be if it wasn’t in a spacious tank where it is fed consistently and never attacked or harmed in any way.
i totally agree that these tanks are way too narrow! great idea, but not enough of an opening to keep fish happy (let alone alive). fish need oxygen, so in my experience these become more of a bubble tank than fish tanks.
Beautiful and impractical. The projection, the weight of tank and water, the cleaning- can’t possibly conform to any uk regulations
