However, in Australia where we live in an ever present drought and water restrictions require us to sower with a bucket under the shower head and people collect the grey water from washing machines to water their gardens, this design is rather useful. It allows another point of grey water collection and makes it simple to then transport the water to where it can be reused. It is a little indugent as a design, it's certainly more cheaper to follow Anthea's lead and put a bowl in the sink. Wow, it may not be a particularly new design, rather ancient in fact.
