While I was checking my RSS reader today I’ve found this interesting idea for a small house entrance on Swissmiss. I love the idea, and I think that I’m going to implement it in my small apartment, especially how the shoes are stored is a great space saver. The materials used are ash and plain steel. The ash has been bleached and then custom finished.

Fractal 23 is a very creative piece of furniture designed by Takeshi Miyakawa. I must admit that I’ve never saw a piece of furniture like this before. The design, by Takeshi Miyakawa is made to make the maximum use of space and 23 different sizes of drawers certainly do that for you. Finally I don’t think that the Fractal 23 is a practical piece of furniture, rather an interesting piece of art that can make your friends say “Wooow“. – Via – Core77

Today While visiting Gage Clemenceau Architects an architecture and design firm with projects covering a wide range of scales, from a five hundred room Hotel/Resort, to residential, furniture and product design I’ve discovered in their residential projects section two beautiful New York apartments ( Griffin Residence & Residence in SOHO ), that I liked an finally here they are. Simple, modern and with lots of style. The work of the firm is motivated by the premise that architecture transcends the practice of mere building – in favor of a new and vibrant alliance between progressive technologies, new materials, and a renewed interest in architecture as an exceedingly visual and aesthetically driven discipline.

Clean and white, the form of this wall-hung washbasin from Sanindusa is simple, minimalistic and geometric. Flow’s rectangular shape contrasts nicely with the circular impression of the sink. Almost solid in appearance, it offers a different interpretation of what a sink should look like and be: Flow carries us in the future of bathroom design. It allows the cascade of water to disappear into the gap cut out of the smooth ceramic surface. A gorgeous wood drawer pulls out below to bring life and practicality to the washbasin – an interactive work of art for your bathroom. – Via – Trendir

Usually I don’t present two product from the same designer, especially in the same day, but today is an exception. After I’ve just presented the Discovery Drawer by Richard Shed and Alex Taylor I also wanted to share a beautiful wall clock called simple “Colors”. The “Colors” wall clock was designed with the sole intention of not over complicating the design. I love the simplicity and how the colors and the font are combined in this beautiful design.
