The chair shown here is hand covered in a vintage edition map of the east London area. The map was cut into squares on the grid lines then carefully reconstructed on the chair. The Thames runs across the seat and along the back of the chair. This particular chair is in stock & ready to ship but is also available made to order with an location map you wish. The idea is quite innovative, but a chair with a map is not something that I would like in my home. Price : $450 from Etsy

Chest of drawers is made out of discarded drawers, found and rescued at flea markets. A mix of different styles from earlier decades, with woods and knobs of various kinds, in a single piece of furniture. The old drawers are enhanced by the new frame in white lacquered MDF. In conclusion if you want a really unique piece of furniture you can start searching for old drawers, and come up with your own mix of styles. This one can be bough from here.

From my perspective a house like this a a real piece of art, and I know that to get a design like this for your house it might cost you a fortune, but when you look at the final result you forget about the money. Now the owners of this house wanted that the library to be the heart of the house, and José Solís Betancourt, the interior designer who renovated this D.C. retreat made their dream come true. You can read more about how this project was made on Architecturaldigest, but in a post like this the images are the most interesting part …

The Cubby coat hook is designed by materious and challenges traditional form–rather than a coat hook being a fairly linear element. The center space offers storage for keys, wallets, gloves, sunglasses, or other small items. The outer surface allows purses and scarves to be hung and offers a wider, more collar-friendly support for coats. Many Cubbyies can be attached to the wall linearlly or randomly, in different colors, and each family member can have their own coat “space.” - Via - Trendinsiders

We presented a few months ago a project by Antonio Lupi, the Boat-Shaped Bathtub, and today here is another interesting project named Biblio. Biblio by Antonio Lupi is a Corian Rectangular bathtub, complete with back rest and automatic drainage and combined bath spout and overflow, that incorporates a generous book-case for your bathroom reading. Personally I don’t think that keeping books in your bathroom is a good idea, but who knows maybe there are people who think this is useful. Now for those who love this idea, I think that this Clever Bath Organiser would be very useful for the Biblio Bathtub. The tub is made of resin, wood and it adorns a special price tag of approx. $17,300! - Via - Bornrich
