Hyder Consulting decided to amaze the whole world with a structure that will be twice as tall as the Burj Dubai, according to a consultant involved with the project making it by far the tallest tower ( skyscraper ) in the world. Considering the Burj Dubai will rise to 818m, the new tower will be over 1,600m tall, making it the world’s first mile-high tower. The architects are not sure (or at least, they’re not giving details) about where the amazing 5,250-foot-tall structure will be built - only, that it will be somewhere in the Middle East region. I don’t think that we really need something like this, but when some people want to amaze they try all kinds of outrageous things. Anyway I’m sure that the view would be amazing, but also if you stay at the “n+1″ flor you’ll spend some time just to come back to the ground. - Via - Bldgblog

This house ( Nora House ) is designed by Than & Videgard Hansson Arkitekter looks like a gray cubic box with a few small windows here and here. The interiors are beautiful, clean and spacious were light flows. The bad part of the house might be the space that doesn’t get to much light, because there are just a few windows. Construction is in situ cast concrete. Facades are rendered in plaster colored dark greyish blue. Protruding window boxes made of oak add a 3-dimensional quality to the facade, thus enhancing the depth and massive character of the interior. All glass panes are fixed, with wooden side vents and doors. - Via - Coolboom

I don’t know why but after I’ve published the 30 of the Most Creative Bookshelves Designs it seems that everyday I find more and more creative bookshelves ideas. For example here is a very interesting bookshelf design named Plusline and was designed by Måns Salomonsen. Personally I like the design, but I would like a bigger one, to be able to store more books, not just a few magazines, and a few little objects.

Well, this chair is definitely one of the creepier pieces of furniture I’ve ever saw. By looking at this chair I don’t know what to do, to laugh, or to be terrified. It might look comfy but the design is to odd for my taste.

The Facade Vase is a really neat design from Orcadesign. The Facade Vase is actually a wool slip-on cover that lets you turn an unwanted plastic bottle into a minimalist vase. There’s plenty of fancy vases out there, but for those who like to recycle and reuse some products the Facade Vase allows you to reuse your lousy plastic water bottles as something more delicate and pretty. The idea is simple and looks good, now let’s hope that this wool cover would fit on many bottle designs. - Via - Gizmodo & Dvice
