A German company called CarLoft presents an innovative way to solve nightmare parking problems, that can also would be good for people who are tired of having their wheels trashed or stolen. Basically the idea is that you drive your car in to a big lift, which then takes it up to your flat and you drive it out on to the balcony to park, you can see how this work from the pictures below. Now if you’ve ever felt that your car should sleep inside, not in the garage, then CarLoft has just the loft apartment for you. A glass wall separates your elevated garage from your living quarters yet still allows for friends and family to appreciate your wheels. Plans are underway to have CarLoft living spaces built in such European cities as Berlin, Frankfurt and Hamburg, among others. The lofts, which range in size from 2,411 sq ft to 5,802 sq ft, start at EUR 450,600 ($536,844 US).

The Hanging Stair is a nice looking design by Canadian architects Blencoe Levine Associates that solves the common problem with stair treads when renovating. So I guess that’s pretty convenient when you run into roadblocks in the middle of your house project. Although this is a good use of space, and it’s a modern look, I would question the strength of it over time. This awesome futuristic kitchen concept design was designed by Sebastien Poupeau. At a first glance this kitchen might look like an Apple product, clean design, sleek lines, and of course eye catching, but this beautiful design is a futuristic kitchen that offers “a food cutting area, a digital screen enabling the cooker to pilot the equipment, listen to music or access to the web to find recipes for instance — this ‘multi-screen’ is extended by a dining surface.” On both sides stand two units; one with induction hobs and an oven for cooking, preparing; the other with a sink and its drying rack fitted into and a dishwasher with two separated racks. The project also envelops an upper level for the hood and a heating area. A light made of optical fibre under the surface holds the glasses over the guests. – Via – Hometone

The “Washup” is a conceptual design integrating a washing machine with toilette-flush. This new concept is a sustainable and space saving water consumption device that reuses the water that cleans the clothes in the washer to flush the toilet. The “Washup” is certainly a great solution for the problem of location of washing machines in small bathrooms, and I’m sure that this concept would be something that every small place owner will want. And the second part of this a smart idea is that this “toilet + washing machine” conserves lots of water that would normally just be flushed away, something good for our planet. – Via – Core77 , Dvice, Gizmodo
