At a first glance the Schimmel Pegasus Piano doesn’t look like a piano. With those beautifully sculpted curves this piano looks more like a futuristic spaceship. The Piano has over 200 strings with a key assembly of 10000 pieces with a fully adjustable hydraulic lid. Now you can have your own Schimmel Pegasus Piano because there’s one for sale until March 15th, only 14 were made ten years ago for people like Eddie Murphy, Lenny Kravitz, and Prince. The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings. The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings. Details in workmanship and material are paramount if the pianist is to enjoy playing the instrument and experience rich, expanded dynamic sonority. Schimmel keyboard/action systems are examples of exclusive workmanship, regulated to discriminating standards and ideally matched to the strung back assemblies. they are asking only $110,000, and their highest bit is currently at $100,000.

My parents has a Schimmel from the 50s looking far different from the new, modern artistic style - this was great thanks for sharing!
Btw: I’m here from Fastfastlane’s digg and since new here: Hello from Norway, wishing you a great weekend
This is really nice.
This would take me a while to get used to… but I do like it…
You may want to edit your post.
“The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings. The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings”
Does that come in white?! I love it.
Nice piano. Hello from US. Have a great weekend to you too, Norway.
$100,000 is $99,999 too much for one of those monstrosities.
That seat doesn’t move closer or further, does it. Building an expensive Piano for a specific height is a going to make it hard to sell to Piano players.
Meh…looks like a tacky design from the 80’s
I like turtles
In ten years everyone will think this is the goofiest looking piece crap the’ve ever seen… Unless you’re like me, in which case it already looks like a gaudy, cheesey, joke-piano. Reminds me of all that goofy crap that people decorated their houses with in the 70’s, like an orange and brown shag carpet with yellow plastic chairs
About the craziest piano I’ve ever seen.
Hi, it’s me the, the 1960s. I want my piano back.
Pretty ugly, and looks like it would fall over if you sneezed on it.
Aren’t pianos hard enough to resell without buying one that looks like it belongs on the Battlestar Galactica?
I thinks this beast is sweet my only question is this. Does it have hoover capabilities so you can hoover around the party and everybody can hum along to the opening music of Star Trek? I wanna see William Shattner play this thing!
$110,000 isn’t that much for a grand piano. Where I work (in a theatre) we have a Steinway that cost over $150,000 new and is now worth over $200,000. And I guarantee it sounds a lot better than that lump of shiny nonsense up above.
The cup holders in the seat sold me.
@ Jason…
Looks to me like the seat has both an up-down adjustment (by using a knob to loosen and tighten, like a bike seat) as well as a rail system that allows the seat to slide forward or rearward.
Do I hear an echo in here?
that’s what I need over at sir jorge manner.
looks like someone got a venus bic shaver and applied its shape and curvature for inspiration in making this piano.
Oh im sure it sounds great and is made from high craftsmanship, gawd knows if ur paying the price to buy this oddity it better sound like its out of this world.
For all those aspiring playboys out there, this sure is the ticket, to some musical insipration. Just tell them is piano has been know to make sex…okay okay if that doesnt work. then just say eddie murphy lenny kravitz and prince owned it. Err…,Okay depends on the age othe potential prospect..u might want to leave the detail about prince out; just to get things moving along
I don’t know who makes up some of this rubbish. The Schimmel Pegasus is still manufactured in controlled numbers. Here is a link to the manufacturer’s site: http://www.schimmel-piano.de
You can get it in any colour because it’s painted with the same polyurethane paint used on cars. I think Lenny’s one was red.
It was designed by Luigi Colani who also designed an upright piano for Schimmel. Regardless of its looks, it still is a serious instrument, of course for some it’s just a show off sculpture.
Only if it comes in pink!!
“The pianist’s touch determines the speed and energy of the hammer contacting and energizing the strings.”
How is this different from every other piano ever?
Maybe it’s just the angle the picture is taken from, but has anyone noticed how freakishly far away the pedals are from the seat? Looks like you’d have to be 7 feet tall to sit in that seat and reach the pedals.
It looks like a disposable shaver for women.
No thank-you.
the seat is adjustable. i can see the knobs. it also looks like there is a short ridge that the seat can slide on to move closer to the piano. i think the classic grand pianos definitely have a stronger presence
It does have kind of an “Epi-Lady” look to it but as a piano player I would love to get my paws on that one. Yes indeed.
Just saw one of these today at a hotel here in Seoul. The sign said it’s only one out of 5 made, and only the second one in Asia. Price tag? A cool $400,000. No joke.
Hi,
Schimmel Pegasus Piano are more beautifully designed. And It has the best features from any other pianos. This Piano has very accuracy and fast in action because of its keys assembles.
