It is pre-fabricated, does not require specific architecture for a specific tree, and sits on a single point- the smallest foundation ever! Many, many hooches have planted themselves all over the world, the latest installation was at the 2009 Burning Man celebration. The hooches in Puerto Rico, at the Tropical TReehouse, are totally self sufficient- solar hot water, rainwater catchment, solar 12 volt electricity, kitchenettes, flush toilets, shower, and killer views of the Caribbean sea.
