Maybe you should do your research before proposing generalized critiques of modernism (I assume the reason for your use of quotes in "where is the privacy"). Part of what makes the house so cool is that, at the street, the facade of the left-in-tact Mar Vista house makes this fantastic addition an unidentifiable contemporary landmark; plus the contrast of its adventurous geometries by comparison creates an interesting vernacular historical dialogue.
