DesignMyRoom is a website that has been launched this week, and is a tool that every interior designer should take a look at. DesignMyRoom allows you to decorate a room virtually using either your own photo or one of the rooms in their library. I’ve tested it and I can tell you that with this tool you can see how a room would look with a certain floor, paint, fixtures, furniture, etc. Objects can be resized, rotated and moved around the room. The next step, the company says, is to allow users to upload their own images and insert them into the room. They’ve also paid attention to details – notice the shadows behind the clover and the lamp, for example, and the light coming into the room from the windows.
