Angled Bookshelf

Angled Bookshelf is designed by David Ngo and is a bookshelf that allows you to store your favourite books, and also put a beautiful souvenir on every shelf to make the bookshelf looks more interesting. This design enhances the utility of the ordinary bookshelf by providing shelving which requires no bookends or heavy-handed adjustments when a book is removed from the stack. It’s simplicity also adds elegance without removing any previous storage or decorative capabilities.

Wow, this is great, I love it.
Just wondering though, how is the flat part of the shelf connected
to the angled part? It looks so tidy, no nails or anything.

The lowest shelf is almost useless, though, and would be a hell to dust.

    Hello,

Just wondering what type of join you used to join the flat and the angled part of the shelves?

    Thanks…

Build the the standard that is necessary for the job. This could be put together with as simple a solution as just adhesives or a multitude of mechanical hardware from finger jointing, splines, biscuits, cams with posts or nails.

what surprises me is the ‘ends’ which appear to be multiple pieces.
