Did you know that using black in interior design shows a need to withdraw from the world and reflect on your dark side. Black acts as a cocoon from the stresses and pressures from the world so you can create a safe haven. Too much black can make you feel isolated and depressed as black walls reflect no light. It is a good colour for bedrooms especially if you add silver, like the moon to create a mysterious dreamlike atmosphere. Black is becoming popular in decorating in these troubled times as we need to take a long hard look at ourselves and perhaps change the way we think and act if we are to have a brighter future.
