I saw a design show that had square pieces that had sticky pieces on each corner that allowed you to customize your area rug then stick all the pieces in place. To avoid that, you would have to implement a zipper function that would take the zipper to the bottom of the carpet when closing - then however, you would have the problem with marking the wooden floors...tricky! I am concerned that the zippers would mark a wood floor. Also, the colors shows are absolutely HIDEOUS.
